Here’s what your Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department has planned for November
Free Family Fun Night – Harvest Festival
Sponsored by: Operation Homefront, Kids Rank, USAA, First Command
Join us at the Community Center in Forrestal Village (02007 Virginia Ave, Great Lakes) on Fri., Nov. 21 from 5:30-7pm for a FREE dinner (while supplies last) along with fun interactive games, crafts and free play activities for the kids! To receive a $100 gift card to use for your Holiday Meal make sure to register at my.operationhomefront.org. Registration is for gift card only, no event registration necessary. This event is open to all active duty and reserve military personnel and their dependents. Military ID's will be checked upon arrival.
November Drop-In Program: Free DIY Mason Jar Lanterns
- Get your glow on at the Community Recreation Office in Bldg. 13! Stop in during our regular hours of operation during the month of November (Tu-Sa: 8:30am-4:30pm) and make your own Mason Jar Lantern. All materials provided, no registration necessary.
Free Spouse Series: Turkey Bowl Flag Football Showdown
- Join us for a Flag Football Showdown - talkin’ smack and taking names on the Multi-Purpose Field on Wed., Nov. 5 from 5-6pm.

Mark your calendars for the Annual Tree Lighting & Holiday Extravaganza - Free Festive Family Fun!
- Tree Lighting Ceremony – Free and open to all hands - Wed., Dec 3 from 4-4:30pm at the Quarter Deck, B1 – watch for details: Santa will make an appearance, and we will announce the Holiday Card Challenge Winners!
- Holiday Extravaganza – Open to all hands – Fri., Dec 5 from 3:30-6:30pm at the Epicenter, B525 – watch for details: We will have Santa, a free movie, free bowling (paid shoe rentals) and more!

November with the Liberty Program
The Liberty Program events are for enlisted E-1 to E6 Active-Duty personnel. It is based out of the Loft Recreation Center, B2A (third deck). Trips this month include Rock Climbing, Farmers Market, a volunteer opportunity, and a trip to see some awesome holiday lights! Click to see everything we have planned.
