Holiday Card Challenge 2021

WHO:
One entry per command, unit, schoolhouse, barracks, work group, or official on-base / DoD affiliated organization. Open to Military & DoD Affiliated Civilian employees.

WHAT:
With some basic materials and your imagination, create a large scale Holiday Greeting Card which will be displayed on Ross Field during the Holiday Season!

WHEN:
Finished entries due no later than Nov. 19 at Noon, to the MWR Maintenance Shop on the main level of Bldg. 154, Camp Barry. (Please write your entry number on the back of your card.)

MATERIALS PROVIDED TO EACH TEAM:
MWR provides (1) 4x8 sheet of plywood, (1) quart of red, green and white paint, (3) paint brushes. Any other materials are provided at team’s expense. (Materials available starting Nov. 1, at 8 am, once application has been approved)

HOW:
Complete the entry form (below) and drop it off at the Community Rec Center & Marina (Bldg. 13) or send it in via e-mail to
grlkmwrrecdivisi.fct@navy.mil. Once approved, pick up materials from the MWR Maintenance Shop on the main level of Bldg. 154, Mon-Fri: 8am-2:30pm starting on Nov. 1. Bring a large truck or trailer, along with 2-3 people, to pick up materials.

WHAT YOU WIN:
A Bowling/Pizza Party for up to 20 people at the EPICENTER. Prize awarded for top finisher in each category: Best Holiday Theme, Most Military Pride, Most Artistic and People’s Choice. Cards will be judged on Ross Field by command leadership, and winners will be announced at the NAVSTA Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 1.
